“ One of my favorite breakfast burritos in the LA area! Got one bacon, one chorizo, and both were very well balanced and tasted so fresh. Perfectly melted cheese, and both the potatoes and eggs were cooked to a fantastic texture. They weren't overly massive, which I personally appreciate, and neither burrito was dry at all, which sometimes happens with breakfast burritos. Can't speak to the service because we got these to-go. Parking was easy, as there's a lot right out front. The food was 5 stars for me, but the reason the overall rating is a 5 is that the service was quite cold - I ordered through IG DMs, and I legitimately thought I'd done something wrong because of the curt responses. ”

The space is dark, tiny and intimate although there is a small bar with seats if you don't make a reservation for a table. Service is great and everyone single dish is incredibly delicious. “ Family came into town, so we decided to take them to Baran's. Parking is a little crowded, but we were lucky to get one in this tiny parking lot. It's very cute and intimate inside. Staff was great and there was more than one person to come and greet you. FOOD WAS AMAZING!!!! We ordered focaccia bread (hot and crispy and soft inside), king fish sashimi, steak tartare, crispy Brussels sprouts, yakitori meatballs, Indian egg, maple apple salad (sooooo good), bone in ribeye, blue crab spaghetti, smoked and half fried chicken (sooooo juicy and crispy, another favorite of mines). To top it off with dessert, we got brown butter crumb cake and a cheesecake. We will definitely be back again! We ate way too much fast, I was not able to take photos, but will post next time I come here. ”

I love that you get two different salsas with your burrito. I got my burritos to-go and they were ready at 9, which is the time we chose for pick up. Staff is friendly, interior is cozy. ”

“ Baran's is walking distance to the wonderful beach in Hermosa. It is in a small strip mall and parking is usually easy. It is not a large place, but it is adorable. There is bar seating and table seating. It is very comfortable. The service is great. They know the menu well and can help you. It is not French food, but it has a French touch to it. All the food is made there from scratch. It is all great and again, the service is just the best. It can get crowded so make a reservation. We did not and were lucky, we had no wait because we eat early. For starters their red onion focaccia bread is great, but don't fill up on it. Their maple apple salad I was prepared to not like. It was the best. So crispy and what great apples. I just loved it. For our mains we shared Spanish mussels which were amazing and so fresh. Their rib eye steak was cooked exactly as ordered and boy were we happy. The pan fried sea bass is a must try. It is the best in town. You are never rushed here, you are made to feel welcome and they are kind. ”

“ I am so glad I found Baran's after moving to the South Bay a year ago. Hands down the best breakfast burritos I've ever had! My wife and I love breakfast burritos, and it's our go-to breakfast food so we've tried many top rated places all over SoCal. Only a handful of places are even comparable. Baran's just crafts the perfect breakfast burritos with the fluffy buttery scrambled eggs with chives, crispy tater tots, fresh made salsa/sauces, and grilled tortilla that is heated to perfection by being wrapped in the foil paper wrapping. My wife and I have made it our Friday tradition to order Baran's, and we literally order every week unless we're out of town (major FOMO). They do rotating Friday specials that we love trying, and we are never disappointed. The Friday specials seem to be either themed for a holiday that weekend or whatever the crew what's the whip up with a matching hand crafted sauce to go with it. Truly the perfect pairing each time with a chef's kiss. ”

“ Review of the breakfast burritos only. This restaurant, located in a tiny, drab mini-mall, is small but very attractive. The Friday through Sunday breakfast burrito offering feels like a very cool side hustle and I mean that in the best way possible. The regular dinner menu sounds great but doesn't lean toward breakfast burrito type foods whatsoever. You can call or DM them on Instagram for your breakfast burrito order, beginning the Wednesday before the upcoming weekend. You get three choices: bacon, chorizo, or no meat. I am almost always on Team Chorizo wherever I go, but after trying both the chorizo and bacon burritos here, I think the bacon one was better. I loved my chorizo burrito but felt that it wasn't as spicy or flavorful as I expected. The bacon burrito was more flavorful and the bacon itself was wonderfully crispy. So, there you go. The tortillas are obviously freshly-made and they are absolutely the star of the show. I could eat these tortillas all day long although I would weigh 350 pounds, easily. It might be worth it. These burritos are perfectly-sized. They don't look huge but they are jam-packed and weighty. These burritos are obviously super-hyped. Are they the best in the world? Who knows, but they are great and definitely worth trying. The mix of ingredients and flavors in them, from the tots to the gooey cheese, is wonderful. I would get them again anytime I plan to be in the area. Small, free parking in the lot or on the street. ”

“ This review is only for their breakfast burritos, offered on the weekends. The only downside to Baran's 2239 is that you need to preorder your breakfast burritos at least a day in advance using Instagram. But this is probably the only way they can ensure the quality of the burritos is exceeding delicious. We ordered both the chorizo breakfast burrito and the bacon breakfast burrito and they were both outstanding. The chorizo burrito feels very satisfying; there's some chorizo, egg and potato with each bite. The bacon in the bacon burrito is very well rendered and crispy so it tastes absolutely divine. The kicker that I've not tasted at other burrito shops is the inclusion of green onions. You can really taste the mellow onion flavor that really takes to the next level. The two sauces that come with each burrito are both delicious too. The red sauce has a smoky spicy kick and the green sauce is mellow and very umami. ”
